Ashcroft, No. 03-60420 (5th Cir. Sep. 11, 2003), the court said that a conviction for possession of stolen mail under 18 USC 1708 was categorically a "theft offense" - and therefore an aggravated felony - within the meaning of 8 USC 1101(a)(43)(G).
