Danny Garmo is the President of the Law Firm of Garmo Law Group, PLLC, in Southfield, Michigan.
The law firm exclusively deals in United States Immigration Law (100%). Mr. Garmo received his
Bachelor’s Degree (B.A) from the University of Michigan-Dearborn in 1998, with a major in political
science and a minor in sociology, and his Law Degree (J.D.) from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in
Lansing, Michigan in 2004. Mr. Garmo is licensed to practice law in the State of Michigan; the United
States Federal Court Eastern District of Michigan; and the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth
Circuit in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was selected as Top Lawyers in Metro Detroit in dBusiness magazine for
2013 in Immigration Law; and Top Attorneys Rising Stars in Michigan by Super Lawyers Magazine in
2014. He primarily concentrates in U.S. Immigration Law, including Family and Employment-based
petitions; applications for Naturalization’s; Asylums; and Deportations. Mr. Garmo has attended several
hundred applications for adjustment of status, naturalization’s and asylums throughout the United
States. Mr. Garmo was a frequent speaker on immigration related issues and co-hosted a weekly TV
program titled “Immigration Today”. He has co-authored the articles on the Visa Processing Guide and
Consular Posts Handbook for the American Embassy in Amman, Jordan; Baghdad, Iraq; and Damascus,
Syria for the Visa Processing Guide published by the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA).
Mr. Garmo is a current member of the State Bar of Michigan; Executive Office for Immigration Review
(EOIR); American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA); American Bar Association (ABA); Chaldean-
American Bar Association (CABA); Oakland County Bar Association (OCBA) and the Michigan Association
for Justice (MAJ). Mr. Garmo is fluent in the Chaldean/Assyrian languages.
